Let's be real here.... the dead of winter is the best time for deals for anything summer related.. It doesn't really matter whether you're buying a pool, a motorcycle, or a boat.. you'll get your best deals in November-January... However, the question becomes this... Is it worth waiting it out...

LOL.. I can totally relate to this story.. A couple years ago I did sprinklers, and did the trenching myself... my ground was so hard packed that it took me 3 days, and just the rental on the trencher ended up costing almost as much as if I had hired it out. I will NEVER do my own trenching...

From what I have read in the past, overlap is the preferred way to go.. As for retrofitting a beaded liner inot your pool, I'm guessing it's more effort than it's worth.

If you're planning on upgrading at some point in the future, do it now.. $1600 is a pretty good deal, and I'm assuming you're probably spending 5k+ on your deck, so it's not a huge addition to the expense.. Doing it now will be WAY better than trying to "fix" your deck to fit it in a few years.

Ok, so here's my question... I have an above ground pool that's about 14000 gallons (18x33x52)... I live in Utah, and I'd really like to open my pool a few weeks earlier and close it a few weeks later... I REALLY want to swim today, but the water is still in the 60's.... It's frustrating...
