i appreciate your advise, I live in Alabama, but based on the estimates to change the sand in our filter (ranging $175 - $350) we did it ourselves for about $50 I assumed it would be around $5k
Since we purchased the house and originally cleaned the pool, there have been about 3 small spots where you can see cement in the deep end of the water. I was wondering what the cost of resurfacing a 10,000 gallon gunite pool might be about. thanks
I really appreciate your help, so basically ill just need a lot of muriatic acid and a good brush?
also kinda of offtopic, not for any time soon, but how much roughly would it cost to get the pool resurfaced in the future? thanks
ok i will try that tomorrow when it is light outside, if indeed it is calcium scaling can you point me to some suggested methods for removing it. THanks
no we dont use salt water at all, we use liquid chlorine. and yes we do have a spill over spa, how long after adding the muriatic acid can you swim in the pool? Thanks
I took the same water sample to 2 different places to get tested since at the moment I am strapped for money and can't order my own test kit, here are the results:
Pinch A Penny
Total Chlorine *
Free Chlorine 3.0 ppm
ph 7.8
total alkalinity 195ppm
calcium hard 125ppm
stabilizer 40ppm
total...
i guess you could say that the test area was kinda of better, but honestly its kind of hard to tell. If in fact the test didnt work what would be the next step, if it did then how do you use the ascorbic acid and how much? Thanks
by vitamin c tablets do you mean like people vitamins? lol
also the stains might be kinda of brownish in some spots so would that take care of that to?
