    Balancing with Pool Doctor app

The dates won’t tell you if they have been sitting out in the sun or in a hot garage. Better to buy from tftestkits.com and not wonder if the chemistry is off. I love a bargain but the term “good money after bad” may apply.

Thanks Marty. Not sure what I should keep CYA and TA at for my non-SWG, super hot temps. I add MA and the levels creep back up to 8.2.

Need input to balance post shock, seeing staining

Hello All, Looking for input to help balance water. Our pool gets little to no use right now but it’s pretty to look at because it is still sparkling after the SLAM help I have received here. It is hot, mid to high 80s, low 90s. Rains most afternoons. The pH keeps rising to 8.2 and I am...

Easy DIY Funnel for Adding Stabilizer

Great idea. I bought a one gallon paint strainer bag today but I like your idea too. Not too keen on throwing away the hairnets.

Easy DIY Funnel for Adding Stabilizer

Another thing I discovered is that the nozzle tip from the clear ketchup dispenser bottles from Walmart fits on the pool supply store pool water sample bottle. Makes it very easy to measure 10ml, 25 ml or fill CYA test bottle.

Easy DIY Funnel for Adding Stabilizer

I am a newbie and still trying to figure it all out. How often do you add stabilizer Rob? I am a beginner at the Trouble Free Pool way. The sun is relentless here so I want to maintain the CYA level to help keep the chlorine from being zapped to nothing. This is what I am trying to avoid by...

Easy DIY Funnel for Adding Stabilizer

Here's a super simple diy funnel system for measuring out stabilizer and neatly pouring the powder into a knee high. It will take more time to read the directions than to actually make the two part funnel. If you can imagine a red solo cup with the bottom cut out stacked on top of another red...

Need Help with SLAMing Lime Green Pool

Marty, Thanks. I just tested FC. It is at 6ppm. According to the chart, I should be 6-8 for CYA at 50 or 7-9 for CYA at 60. I was at 8ppm at just before sunrise so it looks like I will be losing 2ppm per day. PoolMath recommends 21 ounces to get to 8ppm. What time of day should I add the...
