I supposed if the vortex was created because the valve is set to skimmer only...but if they jsut turn off the pump and remove the cleaner it should be fine. I have disconnected just as its running by mistake before and it never sucked air. Water level should prevent that

Have you feed a fish tape or anything to route the pipe?

Like if it was leak in the seal and then the shaft right....thats would suck. Not that I saw... I will check when i get back. If that happens I might replace being that its an older single speed.

There is a line near the suction of the impeller cover and it looks like a crack. I have not seen it leak...at first I thought it might just be a form line from when it was made but I am almost sure its a crack. We have had rain for a while so when its running its damp there but not dripping

So I will give you the symptoms. The pressure in the filter gauge when down 5-7psi and then I noticed when the pump was shut off I heard the winding down noise. Not like marbles or anything...like non lubricated parts...what do you think?

Why would it suck air? The suction sides run off the skimmer

Haha yeah like when I buy a lot of bleach...its kinda fun if I wear a shirt I stained a deck in because of the dry blood look...and then I will just act like I am in a hurry

Hello All- I have blackjack oak tree seeds falling in and even tho I get most out if I miss one there is a brown dot where it was. Any solutions?

Its not so much the need as it is so highly recommended because it can cause extra wear and tear. I have a dedicated booster pump but I went suction side. (Kreepy Kruiser)
