Anyone know the simplest way to access this area? I've been told that they may need to be cleaned, but I'm not sure how to access. Took the top off, but the blower assembly is there. Can't really see anything from either side. Thanks.

Welcome to TFP!!

You need to take the top and the partial side panels off to access the exchanger - a bunch of phillips head screws - keep a cup handy to put them in so you don't loose any. By blower, do you mean the exhaust piping (if it's an indoor heater)?
