I have a 16x34 pool with a right step (4x8).
This year I finally threw out the ill fitted 16x32 right step pool cover.

Now I am trying to buy a new cover, I really want to prevent yucko stuff from getting in this year. How important is it for the cover to have the step cut out section, and what size tarp would you recommend considering 16x34 does not seem to be typical?

Thanks

I would find a cover that covered the entire pool including the steps with at least 3' extra to rest on the pool deck.

Getting an oversized cover is fine. You can always fold up the extra material along an edge.

Have you thought about going with a safety cover?
