I closed pool in October. When opened at the end of May I had 1-2ppm of chlorine. Is that normal? CYA 30-40. Don't know how much chlorine I had in the pool when it was closed, probably between 2-5. Pool closing kit with chlorine free shock was used right before the cover was put on.

Thanks

Chlorine can last quite a while in a covered pool, though all winter is rare. If you topped up the water level before testing the chlorine could have come from the fill water.
