 Post subject: HB screws

which screws are best to use on the Hardibacker. the ones i have seem to not go flush w the HB and don't secure well. also what would happen if you don't put tex feet on the island. its by a pool area but don't get much water. aren't the studs galv. which wont rust?

When you buy Hardibacker at one of the big hardware stores, there is a type of screw specifically designed for use with it that is usually sitting close by.
It looks like a drywall screw, but with coarser threads. They have the fluted shaft and screw in flush with the Hardibacker. The bucket of screws I bought
came with a square headed drive bit that is specifically for use on these screws.
