New SW Austin Pool Build

The Spray Deck is finally done and dried. I like the color/texture, but it's hard to see it in these pics. Looks great in real life though, just like the sample I posted.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh wow! That is pretty! Have you walked on it? I bet it feels nice on your feet! Sweet!

Can you take a pic of where they fixed the slope issue by the door? I think I know which pic it is but it does not show the whole area.

That does look really nice. I have found too much sun or too much shade makes pictures really hard to take. It looks like they did a top quality job too. The grout (?, not sure if that is the right term) lines look so uniform, neat and straight even so close up! Do you have a picture of the overall space, the close-ups are nice, but it would nice to see the whole thing.

I am almost home. Maybe. The final CoA inspection passed Thursday, so I can tear down my old fence and put up the new one. Still waiting on the plaster/WetEdge. My foreman said they were starting Friday, then texted me Thursday night that WetEdge didn't have any of the surface I ordered in stock (Primera Stone Sky Blue Treasure), so it had to be shipped from out of state. So I was supposed to be swimming on Sunday, now it's looking like next week. I'm so tired of all the stupid delays. I don't know if they were actually out of my plaster or if my foreman just forgot to schedule them.

Then my foreman dropped by to pick up the final checks on Friday and said he wasn't sure whether they would start Saturday. It might be Sunday. Or Monday. :taped::taped:

A guy showed up today, who I assumed was with WetEdge, but all he did was terminate the return lines. Took about 30 minutes. No WetEdge people showed up. I texted my foreman asking what was up and got no reply.

I did find a landscaping crew that would take my money, so someone is actually fixing the damaged front yard, albeit slowly. I found the guy through NextDoor.com, and when he showed up, he told me he just realized he used to mow my yard about 8 years ago when he was a kid. Now he has a landscaping crew and still works pretty cheap. He's gonna fix the PB damaged front/side yards, install the deck, install the new fence, landscape all of the back and whatever else I need. He's about the best thing that's happened during the last month.

Since the final inspection is done, I was clear to install the diving board. They still managed to get the bolts set wrong, about 1" off center. I can fix 1/2" due to the leeway with the base holes, but it's still skewed 1/2". Oh well.

The delivered a bunch of chemicals, including boxes of muratic/hydrochloric acid. Not sure if I need these though.

Your deck is awesome! I love the texture and color. It makes everything look so much neater.

I'm sorry about the delay with the finish. I know - it's pretty hard to find the truth in all the baloney some of these guys hand you. It's definitely an exercise in patience! I never cared for exercise! Lol!!

Keep us posted.

But you are going to get a lot of exercise when you get your water!

I have to ask.................did you give him the final money? I am betting that he forgot to order the plaster. :(

HUGS!

I paid the add-on bill for the WetEdge/SprayDeck on July 3rd. You would assume that someone would call the plaster co. and say "Hey, this guy wants WetEdge X on Day X, just a heads up" but I'm betting that didn't happen. It's possible they did and the local WetEdge people are just lazy and didn't check inventory, who knows. I paid the final plaster bill on Friday, which was in the contract. I argued with them in March about paying for the plaster before they actually plastered, but they said that's how they did things and they really weren't going to change it for me.

Anyway, the plaster is finally here and getting sprayed! Swimming this weekend!

These guys are polishing and they missed several large spots. The WetEdge foreman finally showed up today to hear my complaints. He was telling me they'd have to drain the pool or wait to get the diver from Houston to underwater polish, like I was just gonna say "Oh, no big deal then, forget about it". I told him I wanted a diver out here stat. I didn't pay $5k extra for rough plaster.
