New IG vinyl pool build in North AL

Also dug some of the trench for the conduit, wire and coax for the peramiter lights and gazebo. Still have to dig back to the aqua plus and then to the satellite dish on the side of the house. Most went smooth but I hit a rocky place about 5 feet long and took about an hour just for that spot. Hoping to get that dug by Wednesday and lights up Thursday.

I find myself working on this pool most of my free time and don't think I will be getting any swim time in to enjoy it this year. Temps are dropping into the 50s at night but are still in the 80s during the day. My wife's uncle is giving us a solar cover he never uses so I am hoping that will help heat up the pool. It's at 77 right now.

Hope to have the fence done by 1st of November. Building a fence is a royal pain in the butt. Gonna end up with about 300 feet of fence.

Hi,

I'm in the Gadsden area. I hired out the concrete from quality concrete in Huntsville. Good prices and good work.
Hired B&J pools out of Hokes Bluff to put the walls up. They done good work but their timeline was off by over a month. GL on your build.

I’m going to hire the dig and maybe the bottom but the rest I plan DIY
With some help

GL. I had a hard time finding people that I thought knew what they was doing to sub every little job out. Like the dig either they didn't know what they was doing or try wanted 4k just for the one day dig. Pool Krete same thing. I would start making some calls now to get things lined up.

Most pool contractors either want to do the whole thing or nothing.

Few pics of the progress.
Very slow going. The past 3 weekends have been busts because of rain. Got half of it sodded and outlined. Made 2 flower beds. Now just have to do other side of the yard , bring in some pea gravel, build a pergola and stain the concrete.

Found a deal on Craigslist on a steel and aluminum gazebo that I am going to put on my 12x12 pad I had poured. I originally was going to build one from scratch but life happens and I am just way to busy to get to it. Am gonna tackle it this weekend and will post some new updated pics up. Here is a pic off the website. I got this thing for only $500. Brand new in the box.

Here's some updated pics. Took about 5 hours to put up. Next is the bar which we are still debating on what design to go with. I think we will end up doing a L shape with grill/ sink area, tv and fridge.
