Does anyone make their own or just buy from spa store? If you do make your own, what are the ingredients?

I don't think that you would accomplish much by putting it in the dishwasher and you might even damage it. Let it soak for a while in water with TSP or dishwasher detergent and then take it out and hose it out real well.
