I don't plan on purchasing a separate control station between Pentair Intelliflow VF-3050 and Pentair IntelliChlor (IC) Controller & IC40 Cell.

Since I also don't have a timer (ie Intermatic) as the Pentair pump programming will control pump On/Off and flowrates but the IC system is always getting 240v power, does it produce CH even when the pump shuts off flow ?

The unit will only produce when it senses flow. It will also only energise a % of the pump run time (whatever % you have it set to).

If your pump runs 24/ 7 you can adjust the % output on the chlorinator to get the correct amount of chlorine produced each day
