This evening my PH tested at 8. To bring it down to 7.5 I added about 5 cups of MA to the pool in front of the skimmer and will run the system all night. Did I over do it? Will it be safe to swim in tomorrow? MA is scary stuff and I just want to make sure I did this right.

Current numbers are:

FC-2
TC-2
TA-90
PH-8
CH- 204
CA-23

20,000 gallon, SWG Fiberglass pool.

Go do another pH test once the pool has circulated for about half hour. Then you'll know what those 5 cups did. It should be fine though because 5 cups of 31% MA would only lower pH by .58, and TA by 9.4. If it didn't do that, your volume might need to be re-calculated.
