I spent last Sunday cleaning the pool cover off. Getting rid of most of the pine needles that have appeared as well as some leaves (although I snapped an aluminum pole in half) I am thinking I am in pretty shape. I had it spotless when it was closed.
Then last night we get 4 inches of snow with projected below freezing temps for the next week. It makes me want to scream. The pool normally doesn't open until May anyway but I wanted to get as much of a jump on it as possible.

Looking at all of you California, Texas and Florida people are making me jealous.

Lucky, I got 10" in PA. And they are reporting cold temps for the rest of the week. I think mother nature needs a wake up call.

We're forcasted for 1-3 in. of snow yet tonight. At least the first 5 in. went just north of me! The pool cover really wants to come off though, had to go clamp it down because of the wind. Did get to see the frozen pool water though. And to think I got my new TFtest kit today. Supposed to stay cold here for the next week too so I will join you in your winter misery while we wait for May. I'll probably need all that time to figure out my test kit. I'm a newbie so plan on me asking for help. Never tested my own water before so watch out all you expert pool folks, I'll be hunting you down!

Kind of stinks now, but wait until mid-august when we're having 105 degrees... You'll be having backyard parties and we'll be hiding indoors from the heat. We're hearing forecasts for a very hot summer, possibly record-breaking.
