I may have you take to get a free 20 by 40 pool liner. My pool is 16 by 32. can I install the 20 by 40 pool liner in my 16 by 32 pool? I would think that you can just cut the liner to make it fit, I don't care about the patterns at the top.

No. The liner is seamed to conform to the bottom of the pool. There is much more to it than overall dimension.
