 Post subject: Burying your above ground pool partially

I am purchasing a 27" round above ground pool I want to put a foot in the ground is there anything I can use under and around the part that is going in the ground to prevent rusting without buying the more expensive aluminum pool.It is $1600 more .Also can you screen these in also.Thanks Gabbycole50

Mine is buried almost a foot and i put plastic down then filed with pea gravel and landscaping rock.

I've seen folks talk about doing everything from wrapping the outside of the wall in tar paper or even applying roofing tar. Over the long haul, I don't think you'd see much difference regardless what you do. Had mine installed last year buried 2 feet and backfilled with the clay that came out of the hole. Be sure your warranty covers burying it at all.
