I have a new to me pool with an Aquadoor skimmer plate and cover and am looking for feedback from others that have done.
Anyone had ice issues by not draining? I am in WI so I expect it to freeze hard. **** the lakes get 3feet plus of ice here.
What do people do with the return if they don't drain? My return is lower then my skimmer so I have to do something with it.
I filled my entire pool from my artisan well so draining now and a fill next spring is all but free. Would you drain or use the door and cover?
Thanks for any help.

plug off the return, if it's an above ground pool remove the hose from the return line as well.

HI - I have an Aquadoor - haven't drained for winterizing in 5 years - no ice damage yet.
You can buy return plugs at the pool store. Drain and remove your hoses and store for the winter, along with your pump/filter if you choose (we store that stuff in the shed).
