today's numbers: (TF-100)
FC 5.0
cc .5
TC 5.5
pH 7.6
TA 100
CH 300
CYA 60
salt 3400 (ideal for my swg)
water very clear

my question: I have had a .5 cc every day for about 2-3 weeks. The only time it is 0 is when the FC is 6-7. This has been a consistent pattern for the last month.
I planned on doing a OCLT tonight and then shocking if I fail it. Is that a good plan?
If I do, once I finish shocking, should I just keep the FC closer to 6 -7?
Also, is it a good idea to boost up the CYA to 70? We will be keeping the pool open abt 1 more month, wasn't sure how important the 10 ppm of CYA would be.
thanks!

.5 cc is treated just like zero......there's nothing further to do.

The CYA test is pretty hard to get really accurate. You could calculate a dosage of 10ppm if you already had some on hand but I wouldn't think it was important enough to go buy a new 4 lb. box.

I was hoping I could just not worry about the cya. Good to know that the .5 cc is not a big deal
